I really tried to go out of my comfort zone with this one. I stayed away from “cartoony” coloring, I experimented more with FX in photoshop, and I tried to make it look like an acrylic painting. Some parts of it are successful, and some I don’t like. Overall it’s a step in the right direction, but I need to work more on defining a light source and making the shadows and highlights really pop.
This is my last day at work for a couple of weeks. In a week the wife and I will be in Costa Rica.

I started watching Bates Motel this week, and drew this up. This is just the rough version. I want to ink and color it, hopefully this weekend or next week.
Haven’t been drawing women lately, so I drew a couple women, and tried to draw Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
